The aged Alexander Valley Bridge near Jimtown is in need of structural improvements. The County DTPW prepared a feasibility study for these improvements in 2018 (using some of the Mitigation Funds) prior to the GAV-MAC formation. This project provides additional funding for engineering studies and cost estimating.

• GAV-MAC approved a recommendation for $35,000 funding from the Mitigation Fund at its August 2021 meeting; the Board of Supervisors appropriated the funding in November 2021.

• Costs for actual bridge strengthening and reconstruction are likely well beyond funding available through the Mitigation Funds
